Dock Realty is excited to announce the second annual lake lighting event called “Deck the Docks” to benefit the Dogwood Animal Shelter. Dogwood Animal Shelter is a non-profit, “NO-KILL” refuge for the homeless domesticated animals in the Lake of the Ozarks area. Their facility houses 200 of our furry friends that are waiting for that loving family to adopt them.
Community participation is crucial to make this a successful event so gather your family, friends and co-workers to join us on one of the Friday or Saturday night cruises on the Celebration Cruise ship departing from Shorty Pants restaurant off of Three Seasons Road in Osage Beach. The cruises begin on November 23rd and run every Friday and Saturday evening until December 29th. The cruise is 2 hours long and we will be viewing the lighted docks between the 13 and 21 miles markers. (GREAT idea for a work holiday party!!) We need more local businesses to get involved! We have dock sponsorship packages available and are looking for additional prizes we can award to winners.
This year on Wednesday, December 5th, we are going to have an all-inclusive Benefactors Cruise with entertainment which will be catered by Savannah’s Grill, with wine provided by Lake Liquor, beer provided by Gold Eagle, and spirits provided by Celebration Cruises. If you would like to participate in the benefactor’s Cruise please contact Dock Realty at 573 374-8849 as space is extremely limited. Cost per plate will be $75 with 100% going to Dogwood Animal Shelter.

Q) Do I have to enter the contest to participate?
A) NO – We want everyone to light up the lakeside!! Please let us know if you do, anyone lighting up the lakeside is eligible for discount cruise tickets. Those individuals who light up their docks, and participate in the contest, receive two free cruise tickets. We are just asking everyone to just let us know they are lighting up so we can include them on our cruise route if they are between the 13 and 21 mile markers.
Q) Do I have to live between the 13 and 21 mile markers to participate?
A) NO – EVERYONE CAN PARTICIPATE!! If you live outside of the cruise area, please light your lakeside for everyone to enjoy! If you want to be considered in the judging, just send us a photo in jpeg format to julz@dockrealty.com
Q) What time should I have my display lighted?
A) We are asking that display’s be lighted between the hours of 4pm and 10pm.
Q) How do I get tickets for one of the Celebration cruises?
A) Please contact Celebration cruises at 573-302-0023.
Q) Can I get tickets the night of the cruises?
A) Yes, tickets will be sold at the Celebration until the departure time of 6pm.
Q) What time does boarding begin for the cruises on Friday nights?
A) You may board the Celebration anytime after 5:30pm. Departure is at 6pm.
Q) Will there be refreshments on board?
A) Yes, appetizers will be provided and a cash bar for beverages is located on the upper deck inside.
Q) Is there any entertainment on board?
A) Yes entertainment will be on the the cruises.
Q) What if I just want to make a donation?
A) Monetary donations can be mailed to Dock Realty, PO Box 8, Lake Ozark, MO 65049 or dropped off at our office located at 2820 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Ste A5, Lake Ozark, MO. We will present these donations to the Animal Shelter each week at the cruises. Please make checks payable to the shelter. If you have household items, electronics, clothing or other items, please drop those off at The Dogwood Animal Shelter Thrift Store located at 311 S Hwy 5 (Old Hwy 5), Camdenton, MO.
